Description

A delicious layered taco dip perfect for parties and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 16 oz sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 16 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 3 tablespoons homemade taco seasoning (or one 1 oz store-bought packet)
  • 1 ½ cups chopped lettuce
  • 2 medium tomatoes (chopped)
  • ½ cup chopped bell peppers or sliced jalapeños
  • 1/3 cup sliced olives
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Guacamole, sour cream, corn – optional toppings
  • Yellow corn tortilla chips or baked tortilla chips
  • Mushroom quesadillas or perfect cheese quesadillas

Instructions

  1. Using an electric mixer, combine sour cream or Greek yogurt, cream cheese, and homemade taco seasoning. Mix until well blended and creamy.
  2. Transfer this mixture into a 9- to 10-inch pie dish. Spread into an even layer.
  3. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, bell peppers or jalapeños, olives, and cheese. You can reserve about 2 tablespoons of some toppings to sprinkle over the cheese to make it pretty.
  4. Serve taco dip immediately with baked tortilla chips or yellow corn chips. Or, cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
