Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 oz linguine or spaghetti (optional)

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients; thaw frozen shrimp under cool running water if necessary.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter until bubbling. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  3. Add shrimp in a single layer, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
  4. Pour in heavy cream, scraping up any browned bits from the pan. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
  5. If using pasta, add cooked al dente pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until well-coated.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • This recipe can be adjusted for spice by adding red pepper flakes if desired.
  • Fresh parsley adds a nice touch but is optional.
