A delicious creamy garlic shrimp pasta that’s easy to make and packed with flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 oz linguine or spaghetti (optional)
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients; thaw frozen shrimp under cool running water if necessary.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter until bubbling. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Add shrimp in a single layer, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
- Pour in heavy cream, scraping up any browned bits from the pan. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined.
- If using pasta, add cooked al dente pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until well-coated.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
- This recipe can be adjusted for spice by adding red pepper flakes if desired.
- Fresh parsley adds a nice touch but is optional.
