- ½ cup pure maple syrup
- 1 cup chopped pecans (lightly toasted)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time along with the vanilla extract, mixing well after each addition.
- Gradually incorporate the flour mixed with baking powder until just combined; avoid overmixing.
- Fold in the maple syrup and chopped pecans until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth it out evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
