- 2 cups shredded coconut (unsweetened or sweetened based on your preference)
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk (make sure it’s Halal certified)
- 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade, Halal compliant)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (check for a Halal version)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- as needed additional caramel sauce for drizzling (optional)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, salted caramel sauce, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until the ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
- Take small portions of the mixture and form them into balls or mounds (about 1 inch in size). Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet or plate.
- Cover the macaroons with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Once set, drizzle additional salted caramel sauce on top.
- Serve your macaroons chilled or at room temperature.
