Description
A delicious slow cooker recipe for tender honey mustard ham.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4–5 pounds Boneless Ham
- 1 cup Apple Juice
- 1/2 cup Dijon Mustard
- 1/4 cup Whole Grain Mustard
- 1/4 cup Honey
- 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
- Fresh Parsley (Optional garnish)
Instructions
- Start by placing the boneless ham in the bottom of your slow cooker, ensuring it fits snugly for even cooking.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together apple juice, Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard, honey, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Pour the mustard mixture evenly over the ham, making sure to coat it thoroughly.
- Cover and cook on low heat for 6-7 hours. The ham should be tender enough to shred easily when it’s done.
- Once the ham is cooked, transfer it to a cutting board and use two forks to shred it into bite-sized pieces.
- Meanwhile, pour the cooking liquid into a saucepan. Simmer over medium heat and stir in the heavy cream until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency, about 5-10 minutes.
- Return the shredded ham to the slow cooker, add the creamy sauce, and mix gently until the ham is well coated.
- Serve the ham warm, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
